Although a lot of the attention of this year's Rolex releases went to their GMT Pepsi, the Deepsea Sea-Dweller and GMT bi-colour models, their extravagant Daytona Rainbow Everose 116595RBOW was talked about a lot as well.The latter features contrasting sub-dials, and it's both my personal favorite and the one you see in the picAs written above, the use of a black dial and pink gold for the case and hands isn't new for the 1815 Chronograph.Does anyone still talk about that result? I had honestly already forgotten about it until I started working on this story. And that was a record-breaker. Seiko's SKX007 dive watch link is a modern classic. Today, we're looking at a different and, I'll argue, better-looking version. The watch is known as the Seiko SKX173. Read on.Then again, neither the 1908 nor the Air-King holds a top spot in the current collection.Point in favor of the new Handwerkskunst on that front. The new watch, ref. 405.048F, drops the Up/Down layout (with power reserve indication gone from six o'clock) while maintaining the normal Up/Down case size of 41mm by 13.1mm and now in a yellow gold case. We'll come back to the dial, with it's beautiful tremblage finishing, in a minute but if you pick up a Lange and don't turn it over within the first 30 seconds, there's something seriously wrong with you.</br>

The side-by-side comparison of these three references (ceramic ref. 103368, satin-polished steel ref. 103297, and the rose gold ref. 103286) shows how different link they will appear, while the specifications are nearly identical. All three watches have the same case design with a diameter of 40mm (and a thickness of 6.4mm) and use the same BVL138 movement.Although there's much more to mention about the watch (the nicely engraved crown, the fine finishing of the case, the solid crown guards, the slightly domed sapphire crystal, etc, etc), the last thing I would like to mention is the beautiful case back of the Scorpion models.Its lock, gears and openwork oscillating weight in pink gold are revealed via the sapphire back of the 40mm diameter and 11.The hand-wound movement nestles in a tonneau-shaped Carbon TPT® and 5N red gold case.</br>
